Artigiano Threads Of Arabian Heritage

Discover the Edition
37.5mm of diameter and 9.9mm of thickness. The Artigiano is designed to hug the wrist.

Brought to Life Together
A 12 cornered closed caseback with a custom made engraving from Salem’s drawing representing the “shmagh”.

Reimagine the “Shmagh”
Inspired by the traditional “shmagh” patterns the silk dial has a custom made printed pattern.
Weaving Arabian Heritage into Swiss Watchmaking
Worn for generations across the Arabian Peninsula, the “Shmagh” began as practical protection from the sun, sand and dust before becoming an enduring symbol of identity and heritage. Its distinctive textile and pattern are reinterpreted here as a pioneering watch dial, uniting Arabian tradition with the craftsmanship of independent Swiss watchmaking.
Co-Creating a New Expression of Heritage
Created with Arabian collector Salem, this numbered edition reinterprets one of the Arabian Peninsula's most iconic cultural textiles into a pioneering watch dial. Together, we transformed the “Shmagh” into a new expression of independent Swiss watchmaking, preserving its heritage while giving it a new life on the wrist. This marks the first chapter of Threads of Time.
